Endodontics - Into the next decade

The Australian Society of Endodontology and the New Zealand Society of Endodontics are proud to host their inaugural Trans-Tasman Endodontic Conference to be held in Hobart, the Capital city of Australia's island state of Tasmania from Thursday 20 November to Saturday 22 November 2008. This conference promises to be an excellent educational forum for delegates on current and future techniques and issues in endodontics. The social program will also offer delegates the opportunity to meet up with colleagues and friends whilst enjoying the stunning beauty and excellent local produce that Tasmania has to offer.

This conference is open to all dental professionals who have an interest in endodontics and endodontology. An innovative program with an array of national and international speakers, all leaders in their field, will ensure that delegates are exposed to the latest information and technology in endodontics. This inaugural event, not to be missed will be an important educational experience and opportunity for professional development.

The conference will be accredited for CPD points with the appropriate Australian and New Zealand dental boards and is endorsed by the dental associations of Australia and New Zealand.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
  • Professor Markus Haapasalo University of British Columbia, Canada
    Dr. Haapasalo is well known for his research in the field of endodontic medicaments, disinfection and microbiology. He is the editor-in-chief of Endodontic Topics and an associate editor of the Journal of Endodontics. He serves on the Editorial Board of the International Endodontic Journal, and as a referee for several other scientific journals.
  • Professor Ove Peters University of the Pacific, San Francisco, USA
    Dr Peters is a renowned researcher in pulp biology, root canal anatomy and endodontic clinical techniques. His specific research interests include the performance of nickel-titanium rotary root canal instruments and the biologic response to root canal treatment. He has published many peer-reviewed papers in international journals as well as several book chapters and he has lectured both nationally and internationally.
